You are paying for seats nobody sits in

A family plan charges you for every seat on it, whether or not anyone is sitting there.

The average Singaporean spends
S$692.28
a year on subscriptions
Share the seats you never use
S$361.52
a year back — 52% of the bill

The spending figure is Finder's, measured per person and per month at S$57.69. The 52% is a household paying for 9 seats across its plans and sitting in 4 — commission already taken off. Yours will differ: the open a hive page works it out from your own numbers.

How it works

Two sides, one hive. Owners fill the seats they are already paying for; mateys pay a fraction of the full price.

Common questions

The three we get most often.

Open the hive and press Chope this seat. If the hive sends access by invite link you will be asked where to send it — your beemate address is filled in, but the account you hold with the provider may be a different one. The owner only sees that address once they accept you. If they have instant approval on, the seat is yours immediately; otherwise the request waits for them.
Yes. Open the hive and press Leave this hive — no notice period, no lock-in. The owner is told straight away, so they can free the seat or change a shared password. Once payments exist, leaving will stop the charge from the following month.
No. beemate is not affiliated with, partnered with, or endorsed by any provider listed here. Access and usage conditions are set by each provider, and we only list a plan publicly when the provider's own terms allow sharing beyond a single household. Read their terms before you join a hive — they are the ones that bind you, not ours.
